About the Project
The project предусматриes the development of a package of documents and marketing materials to support the integration of the Podillia Greenhouse Cluster infrastructure into the “ART PARK INDUSTRIAL” industrial park of the Khmelnytskyi community, as well as the creation of Ukraine’s first demonstration and educational greenhouse center, SmartHarvest, which combines innovative agrotechnologies, digital solutions, and the principles of eco-industrial development.
It addresses the lack of practical experience in integrating clusters into industrial parks, insufficient cooperation between business, education, and science in the greenhouse sector, and limited access of producers to modern agrotechnologies.
The expected outcome is the establishment of Ukraine’s first model for integrating cluster infrastructure into an eco-industrial park, with the potential for replication in other regions.
Objectives
- Develop a package of strategic and technical documents for integrating the Podillia Greenhouse Cluster into the “ART PARK INDUSTRIAL” industrial park
- Prepare marketing materials for positioning and attracting partners and residents
- Establish the SmartHarvest demonstration and educational greenhouse center
- Implement a model for integrating cluster infrastructure into an eco-industrial park
- Strengthen cooperation between business, education, and science in the greenhouse production sector
- Expand local producers’ access to modern agrotechnologies and eco-industrial development practices
- Create a scalable model for implementation in other regions of Ukraine
Key Problems and Opportunities in Focus
- Opportunity to formalize relations between the cluster and the industrial park management company
- Opportunity to develop a step-by-step guideline for integrating cluster infrastructure into industrial parks
- Opportunity to launch applied research activities in cooperation with the international partner Delphy B.V. (the Netherlands)
- Opportunity to expand the cluster by attracting approximately 10 new members
Expected Impact
- The SmartHarvest greenhouse training complex (3 greenhouses, a training hall for 100 people, and an R&D center) has been integrated within 0.5 hectares of the industrial park.
- Three packages of legal, financial, and technical documents have been developed for integrating the cluster into the industrial park.
- Two study visits to operating eco-industrial parks have been conducted.
- A bilingual step-by-step guide for integrating the cluster into an industrial park has been prepared and printed (one bilingual manual, 50 copies).
- Three public presentations, four video reports, and at least 10 media publications have been produced.
- At least 10 new partners/members have been attracted to the Podillia Greenhouse Cluster.
