The Ukrainian Cluster Alliance has joined the Skills Alliance for Ukraine

The Ukrainian Cluster Alliance (UCA) has joined the international Skills Alliance for Ukraine initiative – a multilateral partnership aimed at developing the professional skills and training specialists needed for Ukraine’s recovery and economic development.

The Alliance was established on the initiative of the Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. Today, it brings together over 90 international donors, organisations, business representatives and civil society actors working to strengthen the system of vocational education, reskilling and skills development for Ukrainians.

The Skills Alliance for Ukraine creates a platform for coordinating the efforts of international partners, state institutions, educational organisations and the business sector. Its activities are aimed at developing retraining and upskilling programmes, improving the alignment between labour market needs and the education system, and integrating Ukrainian vocational education standards with European ones.

The Ukrainian Cluster Alliance’s participation in this initiative opens up new opportunities for cooperation between clusters, businesses and educational institutions. The UCA plans to play an active role in developing partnerships and projects that will help build modern skills, train specialists for the country’s reconstruction and strengthen the competitiveness of the Ukrainian economy.

Participation in the Skills Alliance for Ukraine will also enable Ukrainian cluster organisations to become more involved in international skills development and knowledge-sharing programmes, which is an important step towards the long-term recovery and modernisation of Ukraine’s economy.
