The Ukrainian Cybersecurity Cluster (UCC) is launching an innovative project called CyberJab.ua<\/strong>, aimed at improving the cyber resilience of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. The project involves the creation of a training portal in the Prikarpattyaoblenergo dispatch system using mixed reality and digital twin technologies. The project is being implemented as part of a pilot Czech-Ukrainian cooperation program<\/strong> supported by the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Relevance and challenges<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The rapid growth of renewable energy in Ukraine and its integration into distribution networks significantly increases the load on operational control systems (SCADA). At the same time, these interfaces are becoming new vulnerabilities for cyberattacks, which can lead to power outages and dangerous chain failures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is particularly relevant for the new realities of energy systems, where new distributed generation capacities are being installed in many regions. The regional electricity network operator Prikarpattyaoblenergo JSC needs new tools to improve observability, security, and operational response skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CyberJab.ua project<\/a> combines a physical SCADA\u2013PV test bench, a set of realistic cyber scenarios, and a digital twin-based training portal<\/strong>, creating a unique platform in Ukraine for testing cyber vulnerabilities and training energy sector specialists.
