I\nwant to tell a lot in this part. Yes, I understand that we are under enemy\u2019s close\nmonitoring. Therefore, we will prepare answers to these questions with our\ncolleagues a little later. Disclosure of information today should be balanced.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/em><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><em><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">Dozens of enterprise collectives\nare included in the Ukrainian<\/span><\/em><em><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-style: normal;\"> <\/span><\/em><em><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">Automotive and Mobility Cluster. The task of the\ncluster is to help key people in the industry.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/em><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><em><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">Therefore, our greatest value,\nand hence the main challenge, are people. This means gathering those who are\nable to be productive in difficult times, who are able to be effective leaders\nin times of crisis, to evacuate people, to take care of them, to instill faith\nin the possibility of long term working and continuing to do what they love.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/em><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><em><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">The second challenge is\nresponsibility to customers. We are talking about industry in which it is\nunacceptable and impossible even to delay execution of an order, not that it\ncannot be executed<\/span><\/em><em><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-style: normal;\"> <\/span><\/em><em><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">at\nall. This is much more than worrying about reputation. It is about keeping\ncommitments as an opportunity to exist tomorrow.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/em><\/p><p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 18pt; text-align: justify; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><em><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">The third challenge is destruction of logistics and\nsupply chains. This is an overwhelming task for domestic business, solution of\nwhich is based on the international system of mutual relations. Here is an\nunexpected example for Ukrainians \u2013 a number of large international companies\nstop supplying production components (electronics) for fear that their products\nfrom Ukraine will end up in sanctioned Russia and Belarus. Adherence to\nsanctions is important, but just as important is adherence to limits of\nreasonableness. But, I repeat, we consume the consequences of changes in the\ninternational system of relations.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/em><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><b><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Is normal activity of the cluster&#8217;s productions even\npossible in conditions of constant air alarms? Was relocation of cluster&#8217;s\nproductions facilities successful on an all-Ukrainian scale, or are these\nisolated cases?<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">So. Here I want to quote our partners from Israel: &#8220;If there are\nmore than three hours between air alarms, then you can work.&#8221;<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Several enterprises of our cluster relocated. Our people showed\nconsiderable mutual assistance and solidarity. That&#8217;s how it happens. One of\nthe enterprises of the cluster hosted another. And workshop of one of our\ncluster members still works 5 km from war zone and continuously supplies\nproducts to other relocated workshops.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><b><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">What are the competitive advantages of UAMC in the\nworld market, do they remain in war conditions?<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Yes, we are competitive. In certain high-tech niches, our enterprises\nwere and remain highly competitive. The quality of UAMC participants\u2019 products is\nconfirmed by all the necessary certificates and many years of experience\nworking with global brands. And when it comes to price competition, now the\nprices of Ukrainian enterprises are not even 10 times lower than in Germany,\nbut 15. When it comes to logistics, we have certain advantages even during the\nwar. The logistics arm from Ukraine and China allows Ukrainian automakers to\ncompete with their Chinese counterparts.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><b><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Which auto giants remain on Russian and Belarusian\nmarkets? What is the position of Chinese and Korean car manufacturers?<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The European auto industry has already left the warring countries. The\nactive phase of discussion of this issue began during the meetings of the\nEuropean Automotive Cluster Network, of which our cluster is a co-founder, back\nin early March.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">But yes, there are other manufacturers.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">At a meeting with the director of Germany Trade &amp; Invest Hans-J\u00fcrgen\nWittmann in Stuttgart, I heard that Russian market is no longer interesting\nbecause only 10% of the population has funds to buy a new car.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">So, apparently, production of &#8220;cans on wheels&#8221;, as we often call\nRussian cars, will now be more appropriate for the aggressor country.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><b><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">How are you doing with supply of imported components\nand export of products? Does the government support the industry businesses in\nthese processes? What are the prospects for production that is focused on Ukrainian\nmarket?<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">We have now received an official letter from the ITC (International\nTrade Council) confirming that a member of our cluster does not work with\naggressor countries. This is required for suppliers who stopped supplying\nproducts and components during the war. I am sure that together we will be able\nto overcome this large list of problems. There are always prospects. We are\nwaiting for support of the automotive industry and electric mobility from the\nGovernment of Ukraine. In work.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><b><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">What do you think about the government program to\nsupport machinery?<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">We have high hopes for it, because government purchases will be able to\nstimulate Ukrainian manufacturers and foreign investors to produce cars and\ncomponents. Many of our clients and partners need support in form of orders.\nThis will ensure, first of all, the preservation of the scientific and\nproduction base and human potential.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><b><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Does <em>Ukrainian\nautomotive and mobility cluster<\/em> get anything from state military order?<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">You are asking a question to a representative of a country that is\nsuffering from Russian invaders\u2019 actions. This is closed information. We have\nwar. We all work to win.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 18pt; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><b><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Does the Government fully rely only on Western aid? Is\nthere a threat of degradation of the automotive industry?<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">No.\nI am convinced the Government of Ukraine is counting on the Ukrainian army,\nUkrainian business and the Ukrainian people. European partners and friends of\nUkraine understand the events taking place in Ukraine, and begin to more\ncarefully project their consequences for the whole world. The world is much\nmore interconnected than any of us previously thought. Likewise, all UAMC\nparticipants understand the importance of interacting with government\nofficials, paying taxes, and saving jobs.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><b><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">The duty on the import\nof cars was renewed, how did it affect machine builders and their contractors?\nWhat is your position on the duty?<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Duty must be paid. Cluster\u2019s position is to create barriers for import\nof scrap metal that does not meet any environmental standards in Ukraine. Yes,\nwe understand the needs of those who are currently on the front lines, but we\nhave to rebuild Ukraine. The cluster has a categorically negative attitude\ntowards those who build business on import of used cars. I note that all our\nparticipating enterprises actively help defenders and volunteers<\/span><span lang=\"RU\">.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><b><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">What are the prospects and new opportunities of<\/span><\/i><\/b><b><i><span lang=\"EN-US\"> <\/span><\/i><\/b><b><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">UAMC in the context of\nthe Ukrainian Cluster Alliance?<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p><p style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The cluster alliance provides good expansion, positioning and\nnetworking. Monthly meetings with auto clusters in Europe and the world,\nstarted in April 2022, are ongoing, we are planning to participate in the\nsummit of the leading suppliers of automotive equipment in Germany, and we are\nforming a base of knowledge and experience. We started the conversation with\nchallenges. There is nothing more important today than people. For many\nbusiness owners and managers, cluster partnership has become a key to a deeper\nunderstanding of the market, their business, and their teams.
